January Class in Brunei

Thanks to Syafiq for the photos. Yeah, you should apologize for the delay in sending me the photos! :-) Anyway, I had a fun time teaching all of you though I had to talk non-stop to finish up the syllabus in time.

It's just a small class this month. I was able to give attention to all of them. En. Dzul seems more advanced and asked valid questions on the products. He's been using Trend Micro NeatSuite since 2001! Salleh is the IMSS administrator for a government agency and CK is the guy from Penang who has to pickup on the products soonest possible because his senior will be leaving soon. Happy supporting Trend products!

April Class

This time, there were two students from Pakistan. Can you spot the two? :-) They are from telecommunication company called Telenor. Interestingly, they just switched to OfficeScan Corporate Edition from other competitive brand. And, their network was infected with some Indonesian virus/worm which cannot be detected by OfficeScan client. They brought over the infected laptop and showed me the symptom. We managed to get the sample malicious file and submit it to Trend Support.

Trend support soon replied the detection of the infected file as WORM_AUTORUN.AJW should be added to the latest pattern file at that time CPR 5.234.03. To fix the damages done by the virus/worm requires at least DCT pattern number 955.

March Class in Brunei

9 students again this time in Brunei. They are from EGNC (E-government National Center). I am glad that they found the training useful. :-)

How's Brunei? It's a quiet & peaceful place. It's the opposite like what we have in here.

9 people consider a big class already. The hands on exercise is the challenging part. Students normally will have lots of questions which need to be entertained accordingly. Furthermore different individuals work at different pace.

I hope they have learned a thing or two which they can apply in their daily job administering/implementing Trend Micro Products.

February Class

Time for training again. I am having 4 students from a big SI company. Someone warned me they might be asking 'difficult' questions (they are the experienced people). :-)

Batch January 2008

These are the first batch of TCSE apprentice for this year. Congrats to Shahril, Linus and Terry! Hope to see you in the near future when you guys come for the exam. :-) Good Luck and keep in touch!!!

Welcome to this month training session! It's the first batch for year 2008. We have 5 registrants. I know it's the beginning of the year, hopefully we will have more people coming for the next round.

The courseware syllabus has recently been updated. We offers OfficeScan Corporate Edition (OSCE) version 8.0 and InterScan Messaging Security Suite (IMSS) version 7.0 for Windows. The other 4 are still the same.

Please bare with me for the next couple of days. Happy learning to the fellow students. :-)
