Product: OfficeScan Corporate Edition 8.0

Before applying Service Pack 1 for your OSCE 8.0, please apply critical patch 1257 first.



And make sure the patch is successfully deployed to all users before you start to install Service Pack 1.

Reason:

You maybe unable to deploy OSCE Service Pack 1 to some clients. The clients's icon may appear as real-time disabled, disappear from system tray and corrupt. Solution is to reinstall the OSCE client.

Verify you already have the patch:
To verify if you have installed the critical patch, go to the OfficeScan server's \PCCSRV\Backup" folder and check if the "Hotfix_B1257" folder exists.

Monitor patch deployment to users:
You can check the deployment status on the OfficeScan Web console. Go to "Networked Computers > Client Management". On the client tree, the "Hot Fix" column specifies the deployment date/time for each client. It will not state the build number, it will give you the date information.
